About the Campaign
As Lokman Hekim Health Foundation, within our Future Physicians programme, we aim to provide 35 medical students with quality stethoscopes. So far, we have delivered stethoscopes to 10 of our students. We need your support to meet the needs of the remaining 25 students.
The cost of one stethoscope, including VAT and shipping, is 150 euros. To deliver stethoscopes to 25 more students, we need a total of 3,750 euros in donations.
Our Students' Need
Medical education requires years of intensive study and significant financial resources. Beyond the costs of books, housing and transportation, the tools used in clinical training also place a burden on students' budgets.
Medical students are expected to acquire their own stethoscopes for use in clinical training. The 150-euro cost of a stethoscope can therefore become a difficult additional expense for students with limited financial means.
The stethoscope plays a fundamental role in helping future physicians develop their examination skills. Under the supervision of their instructors, students learn to listen to heart and lung sounds, evaluate what they hear, and combine their theoretical knowledge with clinical practice.
How We Will Use Your Support
Lokman Hekim Health Foundation supports the training of qualified physicians who will contribute to public health. Alongside the scholarships we provide through our Future Physicians programme, we also contribute to our students' academic and professional development and help them access the educational tools they need.
With the donations raised through this campaign, we will purchase 25 quality stethoscopes and deliver them to the students supported by our foundation. Together with the 10 students we have already provided stethoscopes to, we will have reached a total of 35 students.
Our students will be able to use their stethoscopes throughout their clinical training and into the early years of their medical careers.
