Accommodation support for healthcare workers
The #Breathe project, carried out with the support of Allianz Türkiye, provided safe accommodation to physicians and nurses who could not go home due to their duties during the pandemic period.
The study, carried out with the coordination of the relevant health directorate, aimed to support a basic need of healthcare workers during their busy duty periods. Charity runs and individual donation campaigns also contributed to the project.
The campaign's impact
Running from 2 April to 4 June, the campaign provided safe accommodation to 90 healthcare workers, totalling 4,087 nights of lodging.
Runner Seda Nur Çelik's 100-mile (160 km) run on her home treadmill raised enough to cover accommodation for 20 healthcare workers.
