Stop violence in healthcare
The foundation's work under the theme “Stop Violence Against Healthcare Professionals” shows that violence in healthcare is a serious problem encountered from the student years onwards.
Supporting future physicians also means helping create an environment in which they can practise safely. We conduct research, produce public-information films and run awareness campaigns toward that goal.
They became doctors to save lives, not to lose theirs.
The campaign developed with Happy People Project received an award in the Social Responsibility for Special Target Groups category at the Social Responsibility & Sustainability Felis Awards.
Research findings
- 69% of healthcare workers said they had experienced violence during their professional life.
- 87% said they knew a friend or relative who had experienced it.
- Among medical students, 10% said they had experienced violence during their studies, and 41% knew someone close to them who had.
The findings show that violence in healthcare is a widespread problem that begins as early as the student years.
